James has a Master of Laws degree from The University of Sydney, a Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting) degree and a Bachelor of Laws degree from The University of New South Wales, along with a Graduate Diploma of Legal Practice from The College of Law.
James is admitted to practice as a Lawyer of the Supreme Court of NSW and the High Court of Australia. He holds an unrestricted practising certificate to practice as a Principal Solicitor in NSW from the Law Society of NSW.
